Call for Proposals for #BIT18
Extended to May 5th

Dear Michael

We have extended our Call for Proposals for #BIT18, Bring IT, Together! 2018 to Saturday, May 5th, as some of you requested an opportunity due to last weekend’s tax season deadline.

We continue to invite proposals at this time for all sessions types:

Tuesday, November 6

  • Minds On Media Facilitators
  • Half-Day Hands-On Workshop

Wednesday, November 7 and Thursday November 8

  • Learning Space Conversations
  • Minds on Media Playground Stations
  • 50 Minute Sessions
  • Exhibitor Sessions

We intend to offer sessions reflecting a wide variety of relevant educational topics including, but not limited to, professional learning and leadershipdeepening your practiceopen learning and sharingeffective use of technology to positively impact the learning spacecollaborationinnovationmakerspaces,and empowering student learning with digital resources, and we invite you to submit a proposal.

The committee will evaluate proposals as soon as possible, and you will be notified of the outcome, by mid-June. If your proposal is approved, you will be asked to complete a Presenter Profile. This information will be used to promote your session.

All presenters must register for the conference: presenters of half-day sessions on Wednesday (up to three per session) and lead presenters of 50 minute sessions will receive free admission on the day they present. We can provide free registration for only one presenter per session.

#BIT18 Bring IT, Together! 2018 will take place TuesdayThursday, November 6-8, 2018, and will once again be held at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls. This is the largest conference of its kind in Ontario and it brings together educators from across the province and beyond, providing an excellent opportunity for you to share your learning and to learn from other exemplary educators.

Bring IT, Together is presented by ECOO and OASBO-ICT.

About the Author:

Michael K. Barbour is Associate Professor of Instructional Design for the College of Education and Health Sciences at Touro University California. He has been involved with K-12 online learning in a variety of countries for well over a decade as a researcher, teacher, course designer and administrator. Michael's research focuses on the effective design, delivery and support of K-12 online learning, particularly for students located in rural jurisdictions.
