On Digital Learning Day (DLDay), coming up on February 27, you will see how innovative teachers inspire incredible creativity in their students. Whether students are exploring 3d modeling, mastering coding, or leveraging digital tools to deepen their learning; innovation shines on DLDay.

But teachers and students should be innovating in every classroom, every day.

That’s why for DLDay 2020 we’re highlighting school districts across the United States that are transforming teaching and learning by incorporating digital learning in every classroom, every day.

Is Your DLDay Event on the Map?

How Do You Celebrate DLDay?
Students in grades 6–8 at Charles R. Drew Middle School in Alabama will collaborate to produce and direct their very own short films. Meanwhile, at Wurtland Middle School in Kentucky, eighth-graders will spend DLDay weaving between interactive lessons, activities, and games. Seventh-grade students at Caribou Middle School in Maine will learn HTML and CSS to build multipage personal websites.

Featured Story: Using Technology for Real-World Research Projects

With a powerful broadband connection, upgraded internal Wi-Fi network, and many new Wi-Fi access points, Cibola High School in Arizona has embraced digital learning wholeheartedly, with impressive results.
Now, says one Cibola teacher, instead of asking students, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” she asks them, “What kinds of problems do you want to solve?” She sees students taking more initiative as they learn critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In class, students complete on-the-spot research to find primary sources for research papers, access online databases, and use Skype to learn from mentors around the country.
