Canadian eLearning Conference – 2020 Call for Speakers and Keynote Announcement

While this conference has tended to focus on adult learners, there have historically been many topics with great crossover appeal for those involved in K-12 e-learning.

We want to share a few announcements:

  • Introducing our Keynote Speaker

  • Call for Proposals: We want to learn from you

2020 marks the Canadian eLearning Conference’s 11th annual event.  The committee has begun to prepare and plan for starting the next decade off with great workshops, sessions, and opportunities to learn and network with one another.
Introducing Our Keynote Speaker:
Will Thalheimer, Ph.D., does research-based consulting focused on learning evaluation and presentation design in workplace learning. An organizer of the Serious eLearning Manifesto, an eLearning Guild honoree as a Guild Master, founder of The Debunker Club, author of the award-winning book Performance-Focused Smile Sheets, creator of LTEM, the Learning-Transfer Evaluation Model, creator and host of the Presentation-Science online workshop, and co-host of the Truth-in-Learning podcast, Will tweets as @WillWorkLearn and blogs and consults at Work-Learning Research, where he also publishes extensive research-to-practice reports—and makes them available for free.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Call-For-Speakers for concurrent sessions is open until January 10, 2020

and Show-and-Share Presenters is open until April 1, 2020

Your work is worth sharing and submitting a proposal is easy! 
Take a few minutes to listen to this interview between committee member Sarah Dewar and Bianca Woods, Sr. Manager of Programming from the eLearning Guild.  Bianca has some great tips from deciding if you are ready to present, what should you propose to speak on, and even some help on how to write a proposal.
