As we navigate an unrelenting flood of hype, promises, and new announcements about artificial intelligence – the good, the bad, and the impractical – CANeLearn is keeping the focus on quality in e-learning, offering real and substantiated tips on what is improving practice.

Congratulations Dr. Michael Barbour!

Founding and lifetime member of CANeLearn, Dr. Michael Barbour, has been awarded the Digital Learning Collaborative’s (DLC) Researcher Impact Award for his “groundbreaking research on K-12 online and blended learning, particularly the foundational State of the Nation studies in Canada and pioneering work in New Zealand”. The award recognizes “the breadth and depth of scholarship, influence on policy and practice, and crucial role in shaping our understanding of distance learning … that profoundly impacted the field”.

  • Impactful tools to enhance digital course instruction or assessment; and
  • Unique online learning programs, projects, and initiatives.
